INIFAP is an institution of excellence in science and technology, with leadership and with national and international recognition for its capability to respond to demands in knowledge and technological innovations in the agricultural, livestock and forestry sector.

Mandate:

To generate scientific and technological innovations in agriculture and forestry, as a response to demands and needs in the agro-industrial chains and in the several types of producers in order to contribute to sustainable development by improving competitiveness, and to maintain the natural resource with a co-work between other institutions, public and private organizations associated to the Mexican producers.

Mission:

To contribute to develop productive, competitive, equitable and sustainable agricultural and forestry chains, through the generation and adaptation of scientific knowledge, technological innovation and human resource training to be aware of the demands and needs of the sector, to benefit the society as a framework for cooperation with public and private organizations.

Vision:

Being an institution of excellence in science and technology, with highly trained and motivated staff with infrastructure, cutting-edge tools, modern and autonomous administration, with leadership and national and international recognition. INIFAP has high capacity to respond to the demands of knowledge and innovation training of human resources for the benefit of the forestry sector, agricultural, livestock and society.
