Objective 1.

To generate knowledge and technological innovations in order to contribute to develop of agro-industrial chains in the country. In their performance look for the rational use and conservation of natural resources.

Objective 2.

To develop and promote strategic research to solve the most important problems of productivity, competitiveness, equity and sustainability at the forest, agricultural and livestock sectors in Mexico.

Objective 3.

To promote and support the transfer knowledge in the forest, agricultural and livestock sectors, in accordance to priority needs and demands of producers and society in general, and to contribute to training of human resources.

Objective 4.

To strengthen the institutional capacity through the upgrade, staff renewal and motivation, as well modernization infrastructure procedures and administration, to satisfy the society demands.
